Covid-19 and the Silkscreen 2020-21 Season

The dates for the upcoming 2020-2021 Silkscreen season have been published and details of the films will appear on this website soon. The first showing is scheduled for Wednesday 16th September. However, in the current circumstances we do not know if we will be able to start the season then; and if there is a delay we don’t know how long that delay will be. It is possible we may not start until later in 2020 or perhaps not until 2021.
We don’t know if we will be issuing the season’s Programme Leaflet in July as we would normally do, nor when we will be opening up membership for the 2020-21 season.
When we have more define information we will update this website and our Facebook page. We will also email members for whom we have email addresses.

Final film and AGM cancelled

With great reluctance, the committee has decided to cancel the final film of the season, ‘Cold War’, due to be shown on wednesday 18th March and also to cancel the AGM and social that would have followed if. This is in the light of the advice today (monday 16th) from the Prime Minister to stop non-essential contact with others and to avoid theatres and other social venues.

Check out the used DVD box

Don’t forget to check out Silkscreen’s Used DVD Box. Available at each screening at the side of the stage when you go in.

All DVD’s are £1 and proceeds go to East Cheshire Hospice.

Once we’ve shown a film, the DVD goes straight in the box so if you’ve missed out on a film you really wanted to see, please check the box to see if it’s there.

First come first served.
