Welcome to Silkscreen
Silkscreen Film Society is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers on behalf of its members. Set up in 2001 by a small group of enthusiasts, the Society now has well over 300 members and has established itself as the focal point for people in the area who want to see a wide range of the best films from around the world.
Chosen by a small team of members, films are selected because they have exceptional qualities of direction, acting or cinematography. Our programme runs from September to March and we have two showings, usually at 5.30 and 8.00 pm, on designated evenings.
Films are projected on state of the art digital equipment in a 250-seat auditorium in Macclesfield’s historic Heritage Centre, close to excellent parking areas and restaurants.
